Daniel Rueda

Recently graduated architect from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) after finishing
his final thesis project rated with honours under the mentorship of Eduardo de Miguel. To
complete his education he has also attended the Master in Architecture and Design (MArch)
directed by Fran Silvestre at UEM (Universidad Europea de Madrid), a postgraduate
educational program conceived as a cultural meeting point for professional architects and
designers, students and companies with a same set of values; with the aim of bringing
together and sharing all different experiences that arise during creative processes.
Self taught photographer, Daniel started to take solo architecture photo-shootings after
working as an assistant photographer for Mariela Apollonio. He kept growing as an architect
while completing an internship in Areaarquitectura.design office until he started working
with Fran Silvestre Arquitectos, where he acquired a very profound respect for design while
collaborating with the studio in several projects.
Formed as an architect but photographer by vocation, Daniel Rueda soon became one of the
best storytellers of the moment. He began photographing the streets and buildings of his
adopted city, Valencia, until imagination and creativity took possession of his gallery. His aim,
simply put, is to tell elegant yet joyful stories using a single frame, while speaking about the
beauty of architecture trough his minimal approach.
Today there are many brands and agencies that dispute his eye for geometry and visual
poetry. Lately he has been working with different advertising agencies and brands in the field
of publicity as his Instagram alter ego Dr. Cuerda. Through his photography he has been able
to collaborate with internationally acclaimed brands such as Netflix, Coca-Cola, Adobe,
Herschel Supply co., Hewlett-Packard, Olympus or Smart among many others.
